Before the crystal is made into a ring, it’s been in many peoples hands. From mining, to cutting, to packing, and everything in between. The gemstones absorbs peoples energies along the way. Because of it, it’s important to cleanse your crystals and gemstones before wearing them or using them for healing to remove any unwanted energies.
Before each piece of jewellery is sent off to its new home, I cleanse it with palo santo, ready for its new wearer.

Sunlight Bathing
One of the most straightforward and enchanting ways to cleanse and charge your crystals is by allowing them to bask in the warm embrace of sunlight. Find a peaceful spot outdoors, preferably in a garden or on a windowsill, where your crystals can soak up the gentle rays. As they absorb the sunlight, they shed stagnant energies and recharge with the vitalising energy of the sun. This technique can cause some crystals to loose colour, such as amethyst and aquamarine. Make sure to check that your crystal is safe for this method before.
Moonlight Infusion
The moon's serene glow is known to have a profound effect on our emotions and energy. Harness this celestial energy to cleanse and charge your crystals. On a clear night, place your crystals outside, directly under the moonlight. The gentle lunar energy will cleanse away any negativity while infusing the crystals with a renewed sense of harmony and tranquility.
Earth Connection
Our planet source powerful energy, and by grounding your crystals in the earth, you can tap into its revitalising properties. Bury your crystals in the soil or place them on the earth's surface, allowing them to make direct contact with the earth's nurturing energy. To cleanse your crystals, hold them under a gentle stream of running water—such as tap water or a natural spring —visualising negative energies being washed away. This method should not be used for porous gemstones such as opal, pyrite, lapiz lazuli and hematite. Only use this method for solid metals, no plating. Other bigger crystals such as clear quartz is a great way to neutralise your crystals. Place them on top of the bigger crystal and leave overnight.
